In this Professional Meetup, Ami and Lam Tuong Duy explored a common challenge in English classrooms: students may know vocabulary, but still struggle to build sentences and express complete ideas.
The session focused on what happens at the thinking level before language is produced, while also introducing the use of visual scaffolds to help students organise ideas, reduce cognitive load, and build sentences more clearly and confidently.
The meetup also provided an introduction to Principles of Language Building (PLB) โ an approach that focuses on lesson design and the development of language thinking in English classrooms.
